Michigan State of US is present in Great Lakes area of Midwestern US. Name of this state is in French form of Ojibwa word which means “Large lake or Large Water”. This State has got many other names like “The Great Lakes State, The Mitten State, Water Wonderland and The Wolverine State”. Michigan State’s motto is “If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you”. Its capital city is Lansing and the largest city of this State is “Detroit”.

Flag of  Michigan State of US consists of Dark blue background with State of coat of arms in its center. It also has its variant form in which State of Coat of arms in present on white background. This Flag was adopted on 26th June, 1911. State of Coat of arms consists of shield in light blue color. On Shield Sun is rising above lake and man is standing with raised hand showing peace and holding gun which is representing fight for its State. This shield is surrounded on both sides by moose and elk and a bald eagle is present above it. This flag is for both State and Civil.
